A fresh take on conservation

We specialise in the conservation and restoration of metal, stone, ceramics, and have experience of many other materials. Services we offer include consultancy, practical conservation and maintenance works. Clients include private collectors, local authorities and main contractors. We are based in East London but work across the UK and further afield if required.

We tackle complex conservation issues with a blend of traditional skills and modern techniques. We are firm believers in minimal intervention, reversibility and always aim to work to the highest possible standard.

Simon Cottle ACR

Simon Cottle ACR has over 20 years of experience in conservation, with roles at National Museums Liverpool, Lincoln Cathedral, and the Byzantine site of Amorium in Turkey. He spent 14 years at Rupert Harris Conservation in East London.

He has worked on modern sculptures by artists like Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Eric Gill, Anthony Gormley, Elizabeth Frink, Lynn Chadwick, Barry Flanagan, Eduardo Paolozzi, Kenneth Armitage, Anthony Caro, Bernard Meadows, William Turnbull, Tony Cragg, Gavin Turk, Conrad Shawcross and Claude Lalanne and maintained public sculptures in the City of London for 14 years. He has also completed extensive conservation work for the National Trust.

His expertise includes dismantling and rebuilding large historic statues, such as the Queen Victoria statue on Blackfriars Bridge and the Prince Consort equestrian statue at Holborn Circus.

He has been accredited by the Institute of Conservation since 2019.
